World Looking In

You’re drift-en comrade
Capitalism got you down?
I know it tough—liven broke is rough
Skinny and hungry in the land of the well fed and buff
You gotta hold on lad—this decadence can’t last—stone cold
You stand with many—your not alone—raise your fist with us
Trust the people like my instinct—in a wink the gigs up
The whole world walks out—mass strike and the pigs never show up
Hold up the banks up and take our money back—you wanna live thug life?
Well its time to do it right—comrades we need your power
The time is nigh—its your fucking hour—faced with the youth
The system cowers—We won’t need more then flowers to win

Anarchism and socialism-destroy the system
Black and red
My ancestors call for each in my head
No more distance—we fight with insistence
Smash the state cause—the people are shouting freedom
Eradicate the rich then massacre the chauvinists
I stand with the militants—fuck god—I’m convinced
The only road is filled with the bodies of the facist
No more poverty—die standing—or living on your knees—which?
Heroes—“where did dey go” maybe we should ask co-intelpro
Zeros—“on my tv is all I see” smartest in the clink—set them free
Stagger through each day—my mind filled with apathy
My soul imprisoned—trapped in webs of greed

We need more soldiers—not for war but for change
The world gets colder—it seems so strange
Structures broken down—the crown buried in the ground
Spinning around—with the system—falling down
Never give up—we dance for freedom—our bodies
Sing resistance—in our hearts—the bass pound justice
Get grip pon’ self—have some substance—scattered seeds
Like weeds we grow—in the sidewalk—
This torture in Guantanamo Bay
Blame passed down the chain of command
Like before
They know the way to shield themselves
From GUILT
Finger pointed as always at the bottom
The hand of justice
Lays upon the brow of the war makers

Bury me a revolutionary

Bury me a revolutionary
Cover me in dirt and earth and say no parable
My god is the people and I will die in their arms
Sprinkle my dust in the urban and on the farm
I’ll fight till my last breath to breathe my last scent
Senile as a old wolf—I’ll bite till I have no tooth
Chant the system down—spend your life fighting wrong
Weep the tears of joy—cause I heard the song
Dust to dust and eternal sleep—souls a toy
Body sinks to deep—my name on the lips of those who need
My words echo in the minds of the militants who live among the trees
Bodies in the rubble—corrupt leaders—guerrilla struggle
Trying to stand up to trouble—atheist cause I don’t believe in forever
I never cared for cheddar—my parents taught me better
Bury me without a coffin—so the worms can eat me please
Bury me in Africa—cause she’s the only mother—I could ever need
I’m not afraid of death because I love life so much
Each breath I take—each moment I wake
Lost my mind—madness by design—everybody rich dies
Reclaim the masses with revolution—heavy on the mind
America won’t wake up—unless we take up—arms
Like locusts, we swarm—feel the wind of the thousand-year storm!
Political power comes from the barrel of my pistol
Imperialism makes me bristle—using insurgency instead of missile

Revolutionary Hip Hop Manifesto

Greetings comrades
The movement of revolutionary hip-hop
Is growing against the wishes of the MCs who placate us
Those constructed entirely of fakeness—the overseers who keep us in check
We’re sick of hip-hop metaphor—or anything that keeps our bloody knees on the floor
While the masses demand more—you keep shoving this shit down our throat
Fists in the air to my comrades—who speak with substance—who battle for justice
When the tables turn—we will remember who sold us out—and who led us to freedom
Fists in the air for the bay area’s own-the Coup, shots to dead prez for helping us through
Fists for Oakland's Paris and comrade Immortal Technique who sings from the East
Sabac, Daze, Zion I, do your thing, Atzlan Underground, Akil Ammar siempre singing
Akir, Ricanstruction, Ise Lyfe, and all the underground political sources
The underground hears Warpath, RedCloud and the Native American hip-hop voices
When you listen to music, you gotta make the choice
Hip-hop groups all over the world speak people poetry
Where ever you find resistance and revolution—anywhere in the world in any language
You find revolutionary hip-hop-and you find us-speaking in one tongue-wielding one gun
To our critics who say hip-hop is not just political—that it rocks the party
We agree—we remember hip-hops complexity—but we represent the militant faction
Within hip-hop—we are hip-hops army—the defenders of the masses—taxing with truth
Soothing the people with words—teaching with rhyme—support us for we god
Because the voice of the people is god and we represent the power incorruptible
The fist in the air our symbol, because it represents resistance
It represents the people’s persistence against the forces that oppress us
Suppresses us—distresses us—alienates us from ourselves
In times long ago, they had watchtowers—and people who lived
In horrible conditions—in isolation—waiting for that moment for which their purpose in life arrived—to warn the people it was time to arise—to ring the watchtower bell
Well ding dong comrades—its on—whether we live or die—only you can tell
I’m sending out a message to the underground—will you answer?
Will you take up the final fight, the fight to settle the score with our master?
Are you tired of being afraid, confused, tricked…educate yourself youngsta
The army needs you and not for they army—the people's army
Reporting from the frontlines
This is your comrade siempre…

Devil's Bride

I'm making a case--to destroy a system based on class, sex, gender, religion and race
Democracy for a few--the worlds full of space--as we stew--urban based
Real justice--is just--a flavor...we never get to taste--we run like...
Rabbits in a fox chase--our efforts consistently misplaced
We're facing incoming violent storms--can capitalism ever be reformed?
Can we make change be just signing forms?
I only wish--my words could keep people warm--
For peace and change--you see I'm torn
If the people are sheep--then its time--there shorn
In anomic bliss--we stagger through life--simply missed--on this class life--we grist
Don't have dark skin and fly--cause your at risk to be harassed and frisked
How long will we fence-sit--and watch the poor dying? To motivate--you all--I'm trying
TIPS program got are own people spying--the constitution--is being denied
An all out attack on our rights--it seems they're prying--bill of rights defied
All we did just blinked an eye--and now we're the devils bride--

We worship nothing in this land of Idols--and nor will we just stand idle
"Spit the bit out--buck the system out the saddle"
We won't fight your dirty war--nor your stock market saving battle
No laser guided bomb doom--another attempt to kick start--an economic boom
No more death for oil--no more Iraqi highway tombs--You must be daft
"Ta--think--that-we--won't--fight--against--your--draft"
You better decide now--whether or not--you'll participate
in this patriotic nationalistic hate
Real American--I'll bear arms--against a capitalistic death and drug dealing state
On TV--I watch you beat my others--an they always seem to have the same colors
Jails filled to the rim--just a concrete slave ship fulla lower class sisters and brothers
Economic victims--in a parallel world--we'd be with
them--
I'm steady tossing monkey wrenches in the system--George Bush hear my holla
We won't take your sword or your dollar

Testimony, the media is way too phoney
Too addicted to greed to see, any reality but the one we lead
With brute force--keeping the others from what they need
As a matter of course--we won't let the other animals feed
Who gonna take care of the youngsta's needs--for change I plead
Third worlds a dump--In the road for the poor--they lie many a bump
Ignoring the buck-bucks of these chickenhawk chumps--
Who talk with their backs and walk away with their fronts
My daddy didn't go to Vietnam--and my comrades and I--ain't going to fight Saddam
My Uncle Sam wants to give me a war for Christmas--and I know its wrong
Trying wake the youth with song--I been trying for so long...hand extended--open palm
Defiant--trying to wake the sleeping giant--united together an smash these petty tyrants
Time to live no more dying--the system I'm defying--in my rage I'm finished crying

Great lyrics - how do you think them up?

Nice man. You should play at some shows. Normally I don't like hip hop but if it has a nice political underlining in it, it's fine by me.

Who needs action when you got words...

Words to inspire action. To reach those in isolation and confusion...

Activists who utilize hip hop to inspire revolution are different then hip hop activists who profit off revolution.

Also hip hop activists tend to be more skilled, they do make a living doing it ("I made the money-the money didn't make me"--M1)...

But, revolutionary MCs who make hip hop for free as vehicle to share their speeches, appearances, words, and ideology come ("black and red to the day-we're dead"--Daze) with a different attitude

These are all song lyrics and spoken word poems from recordings and live appearences. The song "Devil's Bride" was written to deliver at the San Fran protest in which I opened for the rally and announced Micheal Parenti (those who read Parenti will notice several of his book titles in the lyrics...democracy for the few, land of idols..etc)

Sounds good to me

So, Mr Zearle (if that is your real name) what movements do you support?

Really nice! Also musically, not only the lyrics. I'm surely gonna play them on Radio Rebelde.

At this point it would be easier to list the movements I don't support.

The world has erupted in oppostition to capitalism wielded in the form of imperialism and war. I am in support of the long repressed Latin American revolution underway, as the cat is away in the Middle East, South America has awoke. Some of these new leaders I don't trust (Lula in Brazil) and some seem to be closer to what is needed (Evo and Hugo).

I am in support of the new civil and human rights movement that we will walk out in solidarity of on May Day. It will be a glorious day, the Latino/a workers taking to the streets in a symbolic and decided action to stand with the world's workers. The focus on soveriegnty and nation-states is bringing into question the actual constuction of nationality and ethnic state. In America, Jose Marti's Nuestra America, we are one area of peoples, mixed from lightest to darkers, all brothers and sisters, equal and free to love, with time to exist, time to live.

So, Mr Zearle (if that is your real name)

As far as the name... Do I sound like a agent/plant/troll/fake?

Zearle is actually my name, I didn't want to be something I would hate in twenty years...and my madre was a syndico-anarchist and my padre a Trotsky-man. I believe in permanent revolution and not a utopian state pipe dream.
