iran is getting a shitstorm but bush has no problems selling nuclear technology to india.
either bush forgot about the almost nuclear war between india and pakistan or more likely he doesn't care.

Yeah, this deal was made to bring India into the fold in exchange for good behaviour. Basically the Indian government sold out its notion of an independent foreign policy and permitted further neoliberalization of the economy in exchange for this nuclear technology. Also, they did not offer a similar deal to Pakistan.
