what is all of your opinions on bush's "war on terror"? frankly i am with chomsky on this one: the best way to stop terrorism is to stop participating in it.

well i am somewhat devided between the best way of fighting terrorism.
i completely agree with the russian aproach that no terrorist should be left alive.
but to stop terrorism we need to give the poeple that are at risk of becoming terrorists a life worth living.

for instance the palestinians live in constant fear of being bombarded because they happen to be forced to live in a very small part of what used to be palestina.
the terrorists live right next to them because israel is concentrating the palestinians into small patches of land.

bush's war on terror is an invention of the corporations that control the US an the rest of the world. by keeping the united states in a constant state of war, billions of dollars can be spent on arms, making the corperate machine billions of dollars.

The idea istelf of a war on terror is a foolish one, as terror, and what makes someone a terrorist is impossible to define. personally im more terrorfied of what bush will do than bin laden. and the idea terror can be defeated by wars as bush sugests is also ridiculous, the whole concept is fraudulent, as i said its continual war. for the second half on the 20th century it was the cold war, used as a tool (by both sides) with which to spend billions on defence ahead of 'real' issues like health, education, prevention of poverty etc.. there are other examples further back in history like religious wars against the 'heathens', in reality there is not and never can be such a thing as a war on terror.

The "war on terror" is a hegemonic tool for rallying the American people behind the ambitions of American imperialism. It's also (due to its singular identification of Islamic terrorists as the bad guys) a convenient smokescreen for the US to extend its military domination in the Middle East, essentially to control the dwindling oil supplies and gain advantage over its biggest rival for oil, China.

The assertion that the Corporate-Military complex which runs the USA requires a permanent state of war is a good one. Here's an interesting account of the need to maintain a PERMANENT ARMS ECONOMY (http://www.marxists.org/archive/kidron/works/1967/xx/permarms.htm)
