View Full Version : Who is our collective enemy?

Let us not distance ourselves from what is our goal and reason to exist. We all seek the destruction of capitalism. Anybody who holds the destruction of capitalism as their goal is our friend. Ordinary people are not interested in dialectics, Leninism, Trotskyism and all other forms of splitting friends. Our goal is the utter destruction of the class system and the formation of a new society based on need, not greed. Come together and let us kill what is killing us, the commune can decide the rest.

I agree. The Left has been splintered for decades and we are not doing anything about it. Nowadays, what is called "the Left" is just a bunch of social democratic parties, or wannabe socialists like George Galloway or Michael Moore who do not do anything to benefit socialism. We need to show the people of the world that Communism is not just some old theory in dusty tomes, but a system that can and will help them make their lives better and finally destroy the cancer that is Capitalism.

While I'd tend to agree that sectarianism usually gets the best of us...there still needs to be healthy debate among the left, because this is the future we're work for - and we can't afford to get it wrong.
One hardly needs to know much about anarchism and stalinism to recognize the inability for the two ideas to cooperate.
However, I think these "sectarian lines" are greatly overblown in most instances. I'm a Trotskyist and I usually get along just fine with Maoists and Anarchists.

There won't be unity between libertarians and leninists, ever. The point is, communism may be the goal, but what path can obtain it and what path fails and results in repression?

I'm a strong advocate against uniting the left. Leninism and authoritarian forms of Marxism (hardline forms) are incompatible with a real communist revolution. It damages the reputation of the left and the movement as a whole to humor such philosophy. Libertarian strands of communism should unite while leaving the other forms behind.

I only approve of movements which oppose the Bank of Italy exclusively.
I mean we all know that they are pulling the strings of the whole damn marionette show.

The peoples front for jewdia is the collective enemy!!!!!!
Dissenter I agree with much of what you say. I'm also a scottish comrade and the sectarianism often gets to me. It's not so much the different groups but the fighting ebtween them. If more groups put fighting captialism and getting out a socialist message first rather than their petty squablbles we would be far further on the road to socialism. However we also do need healthy constructive criticisms between leftists.

If you want communism and you’re willing to fight for it, then you’re my comrade.
Most of the sectarianism I've dealt didn't come from revolutionary communists, but fascists and liberals masquerading as them .

Having the left unite might be possible for the communists and socialists but anarchists and communists have a history.
I think so long as communists don't fuck with us, we will be okay with you guys.

we wont let you ransack the revolution
The enemy is those that dont want a dictatorship of the proletariat, (lot of times semantics), and those that fight for private property.

An all out union of all leftists is a pipe dream. The anarchists are anti-Marxists and could never agree with the programme of the dictatorship of the proletariat. Other groups, syndicalists, left-communists, etc. will side with either the anarchists or the Leninists during a revolution but will most likely defect theoretically and join the bourgeois reaction. But I think there is hope amongst the Leninists, specifically the Trotskyists and the Maoists. I think a Fifth International of Trotskyists, Maoists, and 'paleo-Leninists' is an important goal of today's communists.

We are not together on this forum because we support capitalism. We all, presumably, detest this horrible murderous system. How many people starve to death every day on this planet? How many thousands die for want of shelter or cheap drugs? How many are worked to death to keep someone else in luxury?
The need to destroy capitalism is greatest among the billions who find the above an everyday situation in their communities. It is a luxury for us to have access to the internet and debate the shape and form of the revolution. Billions have no such luck.
I think this is the century for the great fightback. I am not saying that the left should not debate among itself, not at all. What I am trying to say is that the democratic revolution can only take place after the one that removes capitalism and not before. That great democratic revolution will involve people shaping their communities and this world to a degree, hitherto unimaginable. To make an omlette one must break eggs. This analogy fits well. Let us smash these eggs asunder and then we can make our omlette.
I am a marxist but I would gladly live in an anarchist world before a capitalist one anyday, of course I would. None of what any of us want will ever be achievable without first seeing the end of the capitalist epoch. Every day of delay is another day of capitalist murder gone unchecked. Do you wish to make history, or debate it?

Because they're annoying? Wise up, Ewan has dyslexia and he was pissed off at your pedantry
Grow up
Ageism?
Anyway, Ewan is one of the most mature Communists I've ever met and he helped organised a network of student union's in Edinburgh - what have you done that can justify acting so superior?
I think so long as communists don't fuck with us, we will be okay with you guys.
 That has to be one of the supidest statements I've ever read.
And I've been to Stormfront :redstar2000:
On topic, I think if we all realize that each and every one of us has a role to play we should succeed - Anarcho-Syndicalists, Trotskyists, Thrid-World Nationalists, Marxists - we are all advancing towards the same goal and our methods can co-exist.
