¡Viva Puerto Rico Libre!

Hello comrades, I'm new to this network and I just wanted to introduce myself. I'm an active socialist and a strong supporter of my beloved island's independence. I'm from Puerto Rico and I believe that we should separate from the hated empire (the United States) and become an independent country. I support a Puerto Rican republic that embraces Marx's ideology and can participate freely in the world market. The only thing that I don't support from Marx's ideology in the new republic is the atheist viewpoint. Puerto Rico is a highly Christian colony and most people are active in their religion. Enforcing atheist propaganda would only anger the population and lose their support. Recently, I was part of a protest that escalated to a mob in the Puerto Rican capitol building. We were protesting because the House of Representatives was going to recognize and award a Cuban exile that was accused of plotting the assasination of a fellow freedom fighter and socialist, Carlos Muñiz Varela. The protest was pacific but it escalated to a small mob scene where more than a dozen people entered the capitol building and vandalized the room where the award was going to be given that night. Anyways, I don't want to bore you so I'm glad to be part of this group and I'm looking forward to participating frequently.

Welcome. Marx did not advocate an "atheist state", he advocated a rational society. At most one would say he was strong securalist who advocate rationalist propaganda.
