An episode of that old program inspired the following question, but first, I'll set the scene - Smith (Leader of the Tooting Popular Front), is visited by 'Hosae', a Spanish equivalent of himself, when Hosae starts talking about Soldiers, Material, even hiring mercenaries, Smith looks very sheepish and declares that he always thought the revoluton would be, ya know, nice and peaceful, with little bloodshed.
So, my question to you fine people; How many of you actually do anything besides viciously debating on here ? I mean, I'm sure most of you attend protests and chant and wave nasty signs, but is anyone actually pro-active in creating your revolution ? or does the thought of a few minor tank-battles turn a lot of you right off ?
Have you tried to convice much of 'the people' in your locale that this revolution bit is a good idea ? I do see the odd commie bench set up in my city, but they tend to be greying soviet-apologists who never got over the 1960's.

Nope. We're all terrible cowards who hide behind our keyboards. The mere thought of getting my hands dirty causes me to shit my pants and cower in the corner. One time I got really drunk and thought about throwing a rock a cop, but then I blacked out. I woke up naked from the waist down on my front porch.

Hardly a serious question, VonClausewitz.
Unless you are trying to discover how "physically courageous" we might someday be...and what kinds of answers to that can you reasonably expect on a public message board?
As a feeble old man who doesn't expect proletarian revolution for nearly a century, I'm not doing jack shit myself.
How about you?

Don't worry, I was being half tongue in cheek anyway :)
I was just wondering in general if there is any real work being done by anyone, aside from the mainstream parties. I don't mean have you blown anywhere up recently, but well, to get 'The People' onside, you're going to have to do a lot of work. You redstar2000, seem to be one of the more active members of this whole ideal, complete with your own website and rather high-profile prescence. (yes, I remember that you used to have your own wikipedia page).

Well, I'm 16 and besides which I think if I have anything to seriously contribute to the cause it'd be theoretical rather than on a basis of action, as I'm quite indecisive and besides which I'm very shy.

well there is Nepal, but it seems the Maoists have taken a back seat in recent weeks and this will in fact be seen by historians as another glorious bourgeoise led revolution.

Me. Im heavily involved.

A few minor tank battles? The revolution certainly will be violent, but I somehow see tank battles in the suburbs of London or wherever a little farfetched. If it did turn into Kursk 2, then sure, I wouldn't back down. And to respond directly to the point you raised, yes I do do more than just protest. Im involved in long term campaigns that involve al ot more than public awareness.

In a way yes. There's pleanty of propaganda on the lamposts walls and in some cases floors around here, public meetings blablabla...
