Everyone remembers how we are taught that democracy is the best, how this "Power to the People" we are all part of the country.

Everyone knows how the Greeks started all this thing thousands of years ago. I remeber a story a friend told me: "One day a runner for president was sitting on the Greece watching everyone vote for their candidate, when all of a sudden a blind man comes by and asks him to please write the name of the candidate since he couldnt, he gladly agreed. Big was his amase when the blind man told the name of his opposite, he thought for a while and wrote it down properly and put it on the urn" This is the beggining of democracy and it seems like the salvation for us all

But what are we facing right now ?? Can we call this system democratic ??

Of course we can vote for our candidate, for the ones who looks more capable, more carismatic, the one who is cut out to be a leader, the one who is going to defend us ALL when the time comes, the one that is going to hear us and represents us ALL.

Most of the presidents, not to say all of them, are just too busy filling their pockets with our money, talking to other president trying to be in their right side just so they give them money, not caring for the poor, the needy, the homeless, the abandon, the innocent, or is it that they are not part of this country ??

My question to you is: "What kind of Democracy is the one we are living on? Can we call it Democracy at all? What would the Greeks think if they saw what presidents are doing ?

I just see democracy as a fairy tale where at election time everything is flower pink but after that they forget and just step on all of our rights and lives.
