I am surprised, but I actually like this song. Give it a few more weeks, or a few more shifts at the bar I work in and I will probably hate it :P but actually this is the first hit of this kind that has stuck with me :D

Yeah, similar reaction here I think Danger Mouse is pretty pathetic generally and when he did The Gray Album he picked the shittest Beatles songs too; namely the Paul ones. One trick pony really but yeah it's a good catchy song so far. Just have to see if it lasts the test of time/heavy rotation/overplay/acceptance in pop culture/being embraced/loved by those you reject.

Not a lot generally pases that test only great stuuf and extremely daggy stuff that is recognised as such from the get-go and therefore harder to knock down.

im sorry bt if u think danger mouse is a one trick pony then u obviously dnt know danger mouse. the grey album is jus one piece of his work, and whilst i respect u may nt like it, it was piornerring in that he was one of the, if not the first to make such an album (one that blended 2 calssic albums together)
even if u have heard and disliked dangerdoom, DM & jemini and much of the gorillaz productition, u have no right 2 call danger mouse a one trick pony because the body of work he has produced spans such a large range of styles, and he is one of the most innovative hip hop producers in recent years.

Other than doing pretty normal stuff his only 'innovation' is doing the mish-mash bit which is what I was getting at with the one-trick pony call.

Besides doing it with albums isn't any more original than any remix done prior or the Run DMC and Aerosmith original mainstream crossover.

His one trick is only a slight variation on an old one.

It's a cool song but as for the live thing unless all the vocalists used are brought in live it'd be a bit shit to watch just like going to watch some trance git twiddle knobs.

I wonder if Cee-lo sings everything.
