I know China is not communist for obvious reasons.

It is evidently a capitalist country, however because communism can only occur when capitalism has progressed as much as possible, then can we say China is like a catalyst towards communism?

"Catalyst"?

I don't think that's the word you're looking for.

Well yeah, more importantly, do you get my drift or has using this word just confused you?

By using catalyst in your sentence you have giving me reason to believe that you used it metaphorically, i understood:

Definition: A substance that speeds up a chemical reaction, but is not itself changed during the reaction.

China as a capitalist country is speeding attempts to revolutionise into communism, but is not itself changed during the revolution.

i may have taken it out of context, but it's what it sounds like to me.

Yeah what I was trying to say was, China is not communist however it 'works towards communism' by progressing capitalism as much as it can?

I am not sure if I am correct regarding this issue but what I think is, China is heading for a counter revolution.

I agree. Path, maybe? Either way, dissent is growing in China and it will soon be seen in the cities as well as the countryside. Besides, a major recession of some sort seems quite likely in the future, something akin to what all the other Asian Tigers have experienced.
