in 2000, during his campaign in montana or something of the like, rick mercer goes up to bushy and says "i'd like to say that on the behalf of all canadians and our president jean putine, we back your policy on free trade."

dubya replies heartily "thanks canada and mr putine for being behind me 100 percent!"

problems: canada hates republicans. canada would never agree with mr. putine. mr putine isn't even mr putine. he's mr chretien and he's a prime minister.
