Just a tiny, tiny, tiny little bit! :)
hasn't this been posted like a million times?
In any case the author is clearly a rightwinger as it contains several anti-stalin jokes...plus the molotov ribbentrop pact references were really absurd. Stalin was never trying to be friends with Hitler, only anti-communists and kids who don't read about history claim that.

Sorry! But if you've seen it already, why bother posting here? Maybe you should 'like' go away. :P

I can't see any ideological bias in it. It reads just like an historian's cartoon, nicely simplifying the events and placing them in a rather stylish metaphorical context if you ask me. I thought it might be a bit Stalinist simply because Hitler is perceived as a rat like person (which he was to be fair), and Stalin a tall, strong, manly figure.
The 'friendship' Stalin mentions refers to the Pact, nothing more. He wanted a diplomatic friendship or non-hostility pact with Nazi Germany to delay a conflict whilst the Soviet industry and forces were being built up.
Anyway...it's only a cartoon! Chill!

how about you 'like' respect TragicClown who has been here longer than you and use the search function before posting something which will have almost certainly been discussed in the past, since
a) its ancient b) this is a leftwing forum.

I did. I searched with the keywords 'Cartoon' and 'Stalin'. NOTHING. Absolutely nothing. Anyway, it hasn't been deleted by the admins...so I assume it hasn't been on before, or at least, it hasn't been on for a while.

I got angry with TragicClown because it seemed like she was coming in here to moan. And just because she's been on this site longer than me doesn't entitle her to any 'respect'. That's absurd. For all you know I could have been a socialist much longer than her.
b) this is a leftwing forum
What sort of socialist are you if you can't look at, criticise and
analyse the propaganda or your opponents, be they Stalinists* or whatever? Do you only read socialist stuff? If so, your vision will be seriously limited, and your political worth equally so. Know thine enemy! That's what I say.
*Although this is ironic as Stalinism is an extreme form of socialism gone wrong.
Just enjoy the cartoon.

Yeah well maybe but shes a part of the forum, she posts more than you therefore offers more to the community.

What you on about? I said the comic will have been looked at because this forum is leftwing, I didn't say that we dont look at stuff with stalin in lol.
you know, whatever, i just didn't think you should have spoke to TragicClown, i dont even know who you are so i'm not bothering continuing this little sqwabble. sorry.

I appear to have misunderstood your post. Sorry. I remember reading somewhere that people were sensitive on this site to 'Stalinist crap'. Never mind. Delete this thread if its bothering you, I don't mind.

Arguements aside, I had never seen it before so I am glad you posted it - regardless, I still think it is silly. The art was good though. The actual comic was a little ridiculous.
