ive been away for the better part of a year, busying myself with my studys, and other such things.
as an upcoming business person in the capitalist society of this big world, i have decided i, like many others have grown sick of watching the rich get richer and the poor poorer. Currently coffee farmers are being treated like they arent important, with the middleman paying very few dollars to them(the farmers), and selling them off for big profit. The Farmers are forced to live in poverty.
I have grown great interest in buying several coffee plantations and bettering the coffee industry. Buying East African coffee farms and paying fairtrade prices for the beans (cut out the middleman ship straight from the roasting plants) and puting the money back into the local economy help rebuild the east african infstructure?
I know for a fact that a certain major muntinational (starbucks) goes into the region where the beans are grown and build schools, hospitals, etc. but im not talking about just that, what about investing back into the countries economy so that it can better the people?
anyways, just like to hear some other opinions on my idea.
