Friends,
I am new. Just joined today to be honest, and would simply like to get aquainted with a few like minded people. My desire is to discuss issues of the revolutionary left and crimes of this reactionist right government that we live under. I have chosen Bartleby as my name because of the great story written by Herman Melville that is entitled Bartleby the Scrivener. The story discusses how Bartleby refuses to become just another cog in the capitalist machine, he refuses to doservises for which he will not be paid, and he stakes a residence in his bosses office complex. Bartleby in the refuses and resists every plea that his boss makes for services that will not be rewarded. Many people think that this work was greatly influenced by Marx's writings and thoughts, I tend to think so as well. Anyway just wanted to say hello.

Ahoy Bart! Welcome!

That was an enjoyable Herman Melville story. I can't remember the title right now, but have you read the one about the American clipper ship that comes across a derelect Spanish slave ship? I enjoyed that one when I read it - damn, can't remember the name.
