this summer I've decided to go to France to see the movement. I'm learning French but I'm not sure which areas of France I should go to properly experience the situation there. If there are any French comrades out there who can help me out I would greatly appreciate it. I'll also visit Switzerland For about a week so I could use some information on that country as well. Thanks.

You're a little late.

They pretty much ended during the winter. I was in France for November 05, and the riots were finished. I imagine it got too cold for them.

However, there are over a hundred cars burned every night in France (on average). So there's still something to do!

Besides, the French have a strike on a weekly basis. ;)

EDIT: Just for your information, the riots were happening in the poor suburbs and poor areas just outside of Paris.

Have you not been paying attention at all? There is an actual workers movement going on in France right now. 3 Million took part in demonstrations today.
