SEX
Pre-martial sex is a sin and is punishable with Hell. We read in Exodus 20:14 that “You shall not commit adultery.” Adultery is having any partners outside the wedlock. We must not commit the act, nor talk about committing the act (or bragging about it), nor are we to think it. Jesus himself says on the Sermon on the Mount that “anyone who looks at a woman lustfully has already committed adultery with her in his heart.” Committing the actual act is far worse than thinking it, although just thinking it is bad and punishable with Hell. Jesus tells us that no sinner will enter heaven. And Paul writes that the “wages of sin is death.”
Having sex before marriage is adultery as well. Sexual intercourse is an act of marriage in God’s eyes. “Therefore a man shall leave his father and mother and be joined to his wife, and they shall become one flesh.” (Gen. 2:24) This becoming one flesh is shown physically in the act of sex. Therefore if one has sex and is not married, they are becoming one flesh as if they were married. Adultery. More so, Paul writes in his letter to the Corinthians that “the body is not meant for sexual immorality, but for the Lord, and the Lord for the body. By his power God raised the Lord from the dead, and he will raise us also. Do you not know that your bodies are members of Christ himself? Shall I then take the members of Christ and unite them with a prostitute? Never! Do you not know that he who unites himself with a prostitute is one with her in body?” (1 Cor. 6:13-15). He continues also by saying, “Do you not know that your body is a temple of the Holy Spirit, who is in you, whom you have received from God? You are not your own; you were bought at a price. Therefore honor God with your body.” (1 Cor. 6:19-20). We are commanded by God to keep away from sexual immorality. So those who have had sex outside of marriage have committed a heinous crime against himself and against God and they WILL be punished.
Now it seems that many people like to brag about their sexual relations with others. This sinful act is just adding insult to injury. You are not only speaking about committing adultery when you do this, but you also are being unrepentant and are encouraging others to commit the sinful act. You sure are on a pretty wide track to Hell now aren’t you?
God WILL punish all adulterers. There are two types of punishments, temporal and eternal. Temporal punishments are those that occur while we live, while the eternal punishment is Hell. There are many temporal punishments used by God. Pregnancy, STDs, AIDS, and other things. Continuing in the sinful behavior will lead you straight to Hell.
Many people like to make excuses for their sinful behavior. They say “I’m in love and I’m going to marry him/her”, or “We are just fooling around, its not actually sex.” This excuses are not acceptable. Whether or not you plan to marry, even if your engaged, you are not to have sex. Not until you are married officially can sex occur.
But there is hope for those who have committed adultery. Our Lord Jesus Christ came down to earth to die for our sins. All the sins committed before He came, while He was there, and all the sins that will come afterwards He died for. To receive the great gift of forgiveness we must be sorry. We must repent. The Law, which I have laid before you above, should bring you to an awareness of your sin and bring you to repentance. Those who are not repentant of their adulterous act cannot call themselves Christians because in rejecting repentance you are rejecting Christ. Realize that your sins, in this case adultery, will put you in Hell. You should go before God and plead for His forgiveness, realize you’ve done terribly wrong and repent.
Forgiveness is right around the corner. Every time you repent, God will say “You are forgiven.” You can now have the peace that you are not Hell-bound, but rather you are saved. You can begin a “Second Virginity” as it were. We are to obey God’s commands to the best of our sinful nature’s ability. Therefore do not go out and actually, physically commit adultery again, nor never brag about your adulterous acts again and if you talk about them, talk about them with sorrow and guilt.
“Enter through the narrow gate. For wide is the gate and broad is the road that leads to destruction, and many enter through it. But small is the gate and narrow the road that leads to life, and only a few find it.” (Matt. 7:13-14).
And for those who think they are still Christian who do not repent of their sins: “Not everyone who says to me ‘Lord, Lord,’ will enter the kingdom of heaven, but only he who does the will of my Father who is in heaven. Many will say to me on that day, ‘Lord, Lord, did we not prophesy in your name, and in your name drive out demons and perform many miracles?’ Then I will tell them plainly, ‘I never knew you. Away from me, you evildoers!’” (Matt 7:21-23).
Gives you an idea of authoritarian religion is? Condemnation of all sexual liberation. (Or maybe this guy needs some well-needed loving.) Pretty much every posistion religion has on sex we critique is there. Discuss.
