It's me again, with questions, lol. Anyway, what are the major differences between Leninism and Marxism? Sure, I hear a lot of Marxists criticize Leninism, but what makes Marxism so different? Marx, as far as I can tell, advocated the same dictatorship of the proletariat that Lenin did, which led to authoritarianism and a bastardization of communism.

Furthermore, can one deny the dictatorship of the proletariat as a state? Do modern Marxists do this? Or, perhaps, was the dictatorship of the proletariat just a fancy way of saying "we should take the power of the bourgeoisies and use it against them"? In short, use the powers of the state against the upper class without using the state itself?
