Amid the current anti-immigrant legislation some of Bush's croonies seem to be getting hot feet.

"White House shake-up — chief of staff resigns" (AP, 3/37/06)

"White House chief of staff Andrew Card has resigned and will be replaced by budget director Joshua Bolten" seems some of the more moderate Republicans can't stomach the new mission.

Bush said, “The next three years will demand much of those who serve our country. We have a global war to fight and win.”

Looks like they're getting rid of the softies who have lost faith and want to get out while the gettings good.

'"Fascism Anyone?", Laurence Britt (interview) compared the regimes of Hitler, Mussolini, Franco, Suharto, and Pinochet and identified 14 characteristics common to those fascist regimes. This page is a collection of news articles dating from the start of the Bush presidency divided into topics relating to each of the 14 points of fascism.'

This is from a group called the Project for the Old American Century, I suppose they feel they are patriots, don't know if I agree with that as the first Revolutionaries kept slavery in force, but the points and descriptors are very good.
