The Patriot Act II - Closer to a Military State

Has anyone heard about the Patriot Act II? I just read something about it on http://www.villagevoice.com What do you think about it and what do you think it will eventually lead up to? Also, is it true that President Bush did indeed declare martial law on 9-11-01?

Patriot II, or "Son of Patriot" as they're now calling it, is worse than the first one.

Martial law is defined as: military rule or authority imposed on a civilian population when the civil authorities cannot maintain law and order, as in a time of war or during an emergency.

Yeah, I have heard of the Patriot Act 2. I voiced my concern about it on the Our Rights at Risk thread. Basically whatever we do will be monitored: the websites we check out, our phones can be tapped, our activities can be watched, etc. Its very scary. The gvrnmnt. has encourged people to call in any suspicious behavior, so we all basically have to watch what we say and do. Sad, people think this is to fight the war on terrorism, but its not. Its just a facist attempt to control us.

You must remember, though, it is all for the sake of security, there fore it is not limiting liberities, only increasing security. Nothing wrong with that. America is still the freest country in the world because security does not get in the way of freedoms[/sarcasm]

Living under Marshal Law means living in a Police State – like Nazi Germany was. In fact the laws being passed here are very similar to those passed in Nazi Germany, during the time when the people of Germany thought that they were being passed for their protection and for the good of the people.

Only this time is will be MUCH worse, because now we are living in the age of computers. It was easier back then to hide and or keep a falsified “House Book” – but NOW, forget about that. Likely we are all being documented right now – as we speak.

I am quite sure that I am on a government “list” – it is just a matter of time.

The bottom will fall out here sooner or later. People here seem all hot to kill Muslims at the moment, and have been effectively distracted by their underlying prejudices.

Once the shit really hits the fan – I wonder if the majority of the brainwashed US media-watching public will even know why.

Or maybe in the eyes of the general public, people like us will be deserving of what we get for being Communists. :o

This is not a joke – this is seriously something to be concerned about.
