Can I get some information on famous communists and/or instances of communist ideologies being combined with sexism. I would appreciate this. I once heard that Marx was sexist - can anyone confirm or disprove this? Keep in mind that failure to discuss the role of women is a type of sexism.

I know Proudhon was a Sexist and was against private property and government. Although, the man isn't really a prominent figure that many people idolize, he was correct on how private property was theft and that the working class is the source of all wealth.

Marx, I believe, supported Fourier who called marriage prostitution and wanted it abolished and thereby freeing women of male oppression. Fourier had argued that the extension of women's rights was the general principle of all social progress. I highly doubt that Marx was a sexist.

well, firstly people in marx's day would have been very sexist both men and women. They would also have been racist, and also quite offensive about people with disabilities.

It was just how people thought back then, and it would have been extreamely hard to think outside of that constraint.

But, fundemtally marx saw that the issue of women, and their oppression was secondary to that of class conflict. For marx, eliminating class would eliminate gender inequality.

So, why would he develop exstensive ideas about women liberation, when he thought it would happen when the working class freed itself?

Does it really matter if the ruling class is all men, all women or a mixture? i dont care about the ruling class, and i dont care about how equal it is at the top.
