hey everyone,
im doing some research for a speech on socialism in south america. im trying to convince my audience that this movement is a positive one but am having quite a bit of trouble getting started. does anyone have any suggestions or ideas to help me sway the minds of my audience towards the left and in my favour.

Well, if I were you I'd focus on waht these groups have actually done. Look at venezuela for instance.
Education systesms of a much higher standard
Illitreacuys wiped out
Working class people are now involved in poltiics
Industries are run democratically
Health is now available to even the poorest people
Poverties down
etc.
I wouldnt describe these coutnries as 'socialist' I would say that Venezueal for instance though was undergoing a revolutionary process and heading towards socialism.
