I was looking around, and wondering, are there definate icons for each of the forms of communism.

I know the one for communism is the hammer & sickle, but what about marxism? socialism?

I would like to know this, because ive become fascinated with tagging & tshirt making...and i hope to make a socialist tee.

Marxism isn't different from Communism. Communism is a type of economic system/society. Marxism is an analysis of economy and society that points the way towards Communism. Socialism is (according to some) the transitional period from capitalism to communism. I don't really think they have distinct icons. As far as the wider left though, Anarchists often use an A enclosed in a circle as their icon. Marxists also use a five-pointed star. Generally the color red is used by Marxists/socialists, the color black by anarchists. Throughout history some have rocked a red/black flag (like the revolutionaries in Spain during the civil war in the 30s).
