HONG KONG, China (CNN) -- The Iraqi war has convinced the Chinese Communist Party (CCP) leadership that some form of confrontation with the U.S. could come earlier than expected.

Beijing has also begun to fine-tune its domestic and security policies to counter the perceived threat of U.S. "neo-imperialism."

This is potentially excellent news. If the imperialism of America causes the revisionist policies to stop or ever take a step back in the People’s Republic of China, then perhaps the true to Marxism-Leninism days of Mao Zedong will return to that socialist state

good news. call me naive, but i think the new man and leadership in China don't look to bad. the last party congress was more about helping the poor than letting cappies into the party as it was under Jiang. we'll see i guess. but its good to see China still has an ounce of Socialism left in it.

sorree folks, but a confrontation between china and the US is not good news in my book. this is potentially catastrophic. two giant nuclear powers potentially going head to head? no way would i label that good news.

China is a capitalist state in my opinion, oppressive too. It curries little favour with me.
