Cuban Docs Help Bolivia, Humanity

La Paz, March 12.- Accomplishing international missions is a way to pay a debt to Humanity, said coordinator of the Cuban medical team working in Bolivia, Armando Garrido; published the Latin American News Agency.

Garrido told a meeting of Bolivian and Cuban doctors that serving other people is in line with international solidarity received by Cuba at the beginning of the revolution.

The coordinator summarized the work of 592 doctors in Bolivia, who were sent in to assist the victims of natural disasters, and said they were working in 180 municipalities of nine Bolivian provinces.

He also said the Cubans have treated around 130,000 patients and saved 309 Bolivian lives so far.

Aren't Cuba going to send even more doctors to Bolivia? I believe I remember hearing that... I could be wrong, though.

Not sure if they're gonna send some more docs

But Im amazed with their sense of compassion and aid
They're helping Bolivians, and they helped Guatemalan's during last winters storms and flooding

How come I haven't heard of this on mainstream news?
I guess UNIVISION forgot about this

There are also Cuban doctors in Jamaica and across the Carribean, treating many people freely, notably in the field of eye medicine.
