[size=4]I do not advise viewing of these images by anyone under the age of 18.
I know I'm setting a precedent by issuing an age restriction upon a thread but the photos on the following link are of Iraqi babies with birth defects, and they're hideous. (It's a recommendation, no-one's actually stopping you from looking at the site, but a warning has been issued out of fairness.)
For those of you with a strong sense of maturity and even stronger stomachs, they will help you to understand the crime that has been committed - now, twelve years ago, and all the years in between.

I think everyone should look. These are the results of imperialism.
On a lighter note, I think Punkrawker should go away, no one likes him anymore. No seriously, man, you should try deleting your Punkrawker cookies, that way you won't automatically log in under that name.

Aside comment: I see nothing in PunkRawker's post that incited such a response from you, Canikickit. Even if you don't like him, perhaps you could make it known in a thread where he actually deserved the comment? Thanks.

OH MY FUCKING GOODNESS....
i hate bush. Even Saddam Hussein doesn't do these things on the Iraqis. Operation Desert Storm can go to hell and burn with Bush. I HATE AMERICAN GOVERNMENT.

"Punkrawker" doesn't use that User Name any more. He uses "Political Suicide". I assume he logged on as Punkrawker by mistake and I was giving him some friendly advice in my own unique style. Probably.

i don't see why 'underage' people shouldn't see those horrors... let them see for themselves the consequences of capitalist imperialism (as noted by canikickit), it's their right after all.

I'm 14, Zombie. Usually revolting or disturbing things don't affect me too much (the Pearl and Dwyer videos didn't phase me), but from the reactions this has been getting, I'm really quite worried about what I may see. Perhaps I'll be more prepared to be scared for life tommorow. :)

Although I agree with what the site says, I have my doubts as to the legitamacy of the pictures.
Birth defects are common enough around the world to get together some pictures and claim they come from Iraq. Medical statistics and studies are available to conform these things are happening in Iraq, along with a dramatic increase in cancer.
There's also conjecture on why the people of Iraq have higher cancer rates but the soldiers who use the munitions don't seem to. The populataion being in a state of bad health and malnutrition, show the effects faster that the healthy well fed sodiers do.

I agree with Zombie, I don’t agree with the age advisory.
I already saw some of these types of pictures on another site, and they truly are examples of heinous crimes committed. I have already posted this in four other places, but I changed the advisory just a little bit:
I do not advise viewing of these images by anyone who is sensitive or has a weak stomach.
And...
This does need to be publicized EVERYWHERE it can be, is why I have posted it in other places. I hope that others here will do the same. The public needs to be educated about the fact that the United States is STILL using Weapons of Mass Destruction, as it has in the past – when the Atom bomb was dropped on Hiroshima Japan, when the Vietnamese people were sprayed with the Agent Orange Chemical, and with these Depleted Uranium bombs that were used in Iraq in 1991 and which are being use AGAIN – NOW in Iraq.

Whether you agree with the age restriction or not is entirely your choice.
If you don't agree with it, fine, disregard it - but I don't want people to come running back to me complaining, "How dare you post such imagery to a forum of young people without giving due warning about what was to be seen?!". I used to run a political forum, I've had parents on my back about their kids seeing things that they'd wished hadn't been posted. I've also been very careful to put heavy warnings beforehand.
I put the age restriction there for a reason - to advise people that the information beyond the warning is not the sort of thing that everyone should be viewing. I blatantly refuse to apologise for not sitting happily with the idea of a fourteen year old viewing such imagery. We don't know how young our members go, it's ludicrous to believe that they're all mature adults.
I think that Charlie has shown wisdom beyond his fourteen years in doubting whether he is ready for viewing it, and I give him my full credit for taking some time to consider it, first. Others may not be so intelligent, we can only hope their numbers are small.

Danyka, welcome to the board, please share your knowledge.
Thanks for the info, MJM, I'll take it on board.
I had a look at the pics and they're terrifying. I'm kinda glad I saw them but at the same time horrified, the poor kids and their families, god.

Yeah, what you said is true, but the damage DU does is after it is fired. When it explodes and what not - the dust that results being breeded in is the real harm.

I simply can't find words for the horror of these pictures. We should start a chain email (with warnings!) to show the results of u$a (for the future, write USA with no caps and replace s with a $) imperialism.

Um, Sirion, hate to burst your bubble, but the chain email thing would do no good. Chains are a load of crap usually, so you instantly lose credibility.

it is hard to prove this pictures are real (as much as i would like to believe)
the fact that the iraki people are having problems is undeniable and that the children are the ones that are suffering. The fucked up thing is that this thing are not known, most people dont know, and i didnt knoe untill now. i am going to do as much as i can to distribute this pictures and teach people how the US works...

Unfortunately that material is true.
I saw similar audio vision material. Factory wastes are a cheap and easy way to make bombs. In addition it saves companies from all that trouble of properly disposing those chemicals.
Veterans of America and Britain had been also affected.

This is sad, and unacceptable, why hasn't anything been done about this? Surely there could've been exceptions made to the sanctions so that this situation could've been treated. Pitiful, just pitiful.
