Well, there are two of them in my knowledge. One is the FARC. To my knowledge, i think they do more terrorism, and drug trafficking for funding. But, correct me if i'm wrong. And the other one is the Marxist one. I don't remember what it was called.

There's the FARC [Revolutionary Armed Forces of Colombia] and the ELN [National Liberation Army].

The three main ones the FARC, ELN, and EPL. The EPL, the smallest, espouses the Maoist doctrine of a prolonged people's war. They are also the smallest of the three main groups, with 500 members. They lost most of their members after they decided to disband, but some took up/kept their weapons and continued to fight. The ELN has 3000-5000 members, and is more ideologically oriented than the FARC. They are far less involved in the drug trade than the FARC. From an environmental standpoint, they are worse than either of the other two groups, as they frequently target oil facilities in Colombia and destroy them, leading to environmental destruction. The FARC, by far the largest, has 17,000 members, and is the most corrupt and least-ideologically based.

The U$ media tends to associate them in any way they can with the late Drug Baron, Pablo Escobar, although personally I don't think this is true...

Thanks for the welcome, but I've been on this board since July 2001. It's just a new SN since old Malte Liquor restricted me to the cesspit of Opposing Ideologies or whatever it's called.
