from Turkey, who were tried in Belgium for membership
in the DHKP-C

have been arrested under pressure of the Turkish state
and as one of the first implementations of the
anti-democratic EU- anti-terror-laws, released after
September 11.

Three of the sentenced persons were brought to the
prison of Brugge (Belgium). Two weeks were given in
order to make an

appeal against the decision.

As an addition to this, one of the convicts has fled a day before she was sentenced to, I believe 4 years in prison. They were arrested during a razia of their appartments in Duinbergen where the police found guns, false stamps and documents and the organisation&#39;s archive wich they were digitalising.
Fehriye Erdal was under housearrest for 6 years after her arrest in 1999, with constant surveilance by "De Staatsveiligheid" (Belgian secret services). She hasn&#39;t been found, but her lawyer says he had permission to plead not guilty, and he will object to the ruling.

On the dhkp-c, it&#39;s a marxist-leninist organisation wich has done attacks on american and turkish targets, including businesmen, and strives to a Socialist state and the abolishment of prisoncells for 1-3 persons (f-type cells)
