Isis

I listen to Isis and think that they're great, especially the Panopticon album.

What do you guys think?
And can you recommend other bands from the same genre?

The reason for the title Panopticon (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Panopticon) is that they think that society is becoming one. With "The Patriot Act" in the U.S and similar legislations in Europe.

Here (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_Transparent_Society) is another "article" about the same issue...i think that the band members quoted this guy in an interview.

Isis is amazing. They fuse the dark atmosphere doom metal with modern hardcore, with great attention to musicanship. If you like them then scope these bands:

Cult of Luna
Neurosis
Pelican
Burst

you may also find you have a taste for some His Hero Is Gone and Tragedy.

I love Isis, and would also suggest you listen to Neurosis, their music is very similar, great atmospheric hardcore!

I've already listened to Neurosis and Cult of Luna...and i've heard some burst...I love 'em...but i'll check out Pelican, His Hero Is Gone and Tragedy...
