State Sponsored Muslim Genocide

This is in connection to the state sponsored genocide in 2002 against Muslims in Gujarat, India. The state is also the birthplace of the father of the nation, Mahatma Gandhi. In mid 2002, the chief minister Narendra Modi along with his administration killed, raped and burnt thousands of Muslims, with support from the centre and the right wing Hindu groups like the BJP, RSS and Shiv Sena. The nature of the so called riots was so organized that not only people but their houses, businesses, and all other assets were burnt. Here is my question to 'GOD', Hindu or Muslim, who failed to intervene.


They tell me of Gujarat,
They tell me of faith,
Of fire, of blood,
One man’s religion,
One man’s country,
They praise him,
He murdered,
He looted,
He killed and he burnt,
He smiled, he laughed.

Of Saffron flags, tridents,
Swords, knives and sticks.
Up in chests,
Down the bellies,
Across the throats,
All for God,
All for Glory,
They burnt and killed.
Infants, women
Men and unborn,
They killed and burnt.

For pain and torture,
They left orphans,
And left widows
They left fear,
They left wounds,

I heard of Gujarat,
Of torn wombs,
And burnt jewels,
Of flesh, of greed.
They praise him.
They tell me,
Of homes and histories,
They burnt they looted,
We saw and thought,
They burnt they looted.

They say,
My God is bad,
And their’s is good.
What did our Gods do,
When they burnt Gujarat,
When they killed Gandhi.
