Well Marxist ones, I can recomend Capital 1,2 and 3, but would recomend Reading Capital, you can find it on akpress. I also recomend Lenins; Imperialism:highest stage of capitalism, as well as Marxs Economic and Philosophic Manuscripts, and Value, Price and Profit. If i come up with more ill let you know

My favorite on the current world situation is The Science of Revolution by Lenny Wolfe, which can be found at your local Revolution Books (link). (http://rwor.org/a/online/contac_e.htm)

Also, like the previous poster, I recommend Lenin's Imperialism: The Highest Stage of Capitalism

This should be in the Literature forum, but I like Che Guevara, economics and politics in the transition to socialism by Carlos Tablada Pérez.

I personally enjoyed Chris Harman's Economics of the Madhouse. It's a 100 or so page pamhplet that costs about £3. It's a good account of the crisis-ridden nature of capitalism.
