Eraserhead

A great movie by David Lynch. I got a very strange feeling after watching this film...but that feeling later transformed in to pure love :P

What do you guys think about it?

I have it on my computer. I need to burn it to DVD. It is not, however, my favorite lynch film. It is an interesting take on male alienation to parenting and marriage. Though it is creepy and tense at times, there are too many moments in it that don't really go anywhere. Maybe I just don't have the attention span for movies like this anymore.

Personally I prefer Lynch's Lost Highway and Dune to anything else he has done.

Dune is great...I haven't had the time to watch Lost Highway yet...but I have it on my computer...

Have you ever tried Salvia? I did it once, and the only way I can explain the trip is by saying it was almost exactly like Eraserhead. That is to say, it is one messed up trip...

This may sound really uncultured and people may indeed think I "don't get it" - but I genuinely believe Eraserhead to be complete and utter shit.

Anyways, yeah, I'm a huge David Lynch fan. Something about his style is just genius. The way he uses sound, the lighting, everything about his works is incredible. I love how when you sit down and watch a Lynch film you always get the feeling that there's something wrong, that reality isn't really real. It makes you realize how transparent this "reality" really is, and that people immerse themselves in it without actually seeing what they're looking at.

but i'm gonna try and watch it again soon and maybe it'll make more sense and not creep me out as much.

You should check out Mulholland Drive. Another great Lynch masterpiece.
