I stumbled upon this article a few days ago, and I'm wondering what others might think about it. I think it's far from complete, but parts of it are on the right track (except the reformist parts). I'm actually rather surprised that something with the phrase "each contributes according to his capacities and willingness, and each takes according to his needs" made it in a peer review journal in today's climate. Especially with abundant references to marx and marxist economics.
I think a lot of this is what communists have been saying for ages.. but some of it, I think, is approaching something new.
