France isn't perfect. No-one ever - ever - said it was, not even the French. Unfortunately, there's not a nation upon this planet that is perfect, because mankind is not perfect. That said, France is providing a world government in clear and open opposition to the USA's bully tactics - something that we all desperately need right now. Give them some credit for that, at least.

I agree, the French government are every bit as bad as th US one. In this situation they're right, but they're right for all the wrong reasons. The French arent against war for humanitarian reasons anymore than the Americans are invading for humanitarian reasons: if they didnt already have a peace of the oil pie, they'd be a staunch supporter of America and Britains war campaign.

I havnt forgoten about their testing nukes and such in the pacific, they've fucked us over on countless occasions,

It doesnt mean Im not gonna support them though. They might be right for the wrong reasons, but in this case they're still right. At the same time Im not going to pretend they're saints, because they're not. They're politicians, and like Marcos said, politics are good for nothing.

4514Get over yourself, fool. You and I are from the same bloody nation, I protested against them a number of years back when they were dropping nuclear weaponry not far from our nation's "doorstep".

I also realise that if we keep isolating ourselves from anyone who could possibly assist us, then where the hell are we left? Australia was fighting Germany during WWII - does that mean that we should turn our backs on Germany, also? Wake up and smell the coffee.

Sometimes your so-called "enemies" need to be utilised in ways that almost resemble "friends". Call it blackmail, call it revenge, call it whatever the hell you want it to be called. If we can get them to help us achieve our objective of ending this war and getting rid of the Bush Administration, then I'm all for it.

I choose to acknowledge and accept that France has a lot to answer for in regards to it's past, but I'm not prepared to call it my enemy. Especially when the current situation points to us being legitimately on the same side.

If you want to isolate yourself from such assistance, then go right ahead. You can fight alone. I will stand by those who will help us.
