WASHINGTON (CNN) -- With coalition warplanes striking Iraqi artillery sites, a military convoy headed toward Iraq, and Iraqi troops already surrendering to U.S. forces, there are clear signs of impending war in the few hours remaining before the U.S. deadline expires for Iraqi President Saddam Hussein and his sons to leave Iraq.

U.S., British govts might be forced to resign if war in Iraq begins - Belarussian president

Interfax. Wednesday, Mar. 19, 2003, 11:02 PM Moscow Time

MINSK. March 19 (Interfax-West) - Belarussian President Alexander Lukashenko has not ruled out that the U.S. and British governments might be forced to resign in the event of war in Iraq.
"The Middle East would be set on fire. [Oil] wells would be torched. This would lead to an environmental catastrophe, killing U.S. and British soldiers. Once zinc coffins will start to arrive, the government will not be able to stay in power," Lukashenko told national television on Wednesday.

Today I phoned my brother who lives in the US and told me "Bush is "del tomate" (completely crazy) and the "gringos no se lo bancan más" (the Americans don't stand him anymore).

Bear in mind that my brother lives in Aspen, CO, one of the most luxurious and capitalists places in the US, so, if the "Aspenites" can't stand their prez anymore, I wonder who the hell is supporting him in the imperialist land?

Bush stated in his letter to the Congress that he couldn't give any more time for dimplomatic action because that would be against the defense of his country.

What a jerk.

Bush thinks that he owns this world, just because he is the president of the most barbaric nation in the face of this earth he can just do what his brainless head dictates him to.

The costs of this unjst war will be seen in time, the middle east is not something you can just mess with, this is not about who has the advanced artillery, neither is about who has all the money.

THEY CANT KILL US ALL !!! AS LONG AS THERE IS A VOICE YELLING 'FUCK AMERICA' THERE WILL BE HOPE FOR TOMORROW

What I find most disgusting is that instead of attempting to foster the free exchange of ideas, as should be their duty, the news networks are doing nothing but attempting to espouse justification for this war. Earlier this evening, even Lou Dobbs (the anchor of CNN's Moneyline program, who had previously been more or less objective) is now spouting the Republican Party line. All of these bendejos (the news networks, our governors, etc.) make me absolutely nautious.

U.S. planes bomb west Iraq after fired on

ABOARD USS ABRAHAM LINCOLN, Gulf (Reuters) - Warplanes from the USS Abraham Lincoln bombed Iraqi
positions after coalition aircraft patrolling a no-fly zone were fired on by Iraqi forces, a top admiral
says.

"There were yesterday four firings against our aircraft flying in the southern no-fly zone," Rear
Admiral John Kelly told reporters onboard the Lincoln on Wednesday.

He said U.S. forces had responded by bombing "a series of targets" he described as "command and
control" positions in the western part of the no-fly zone early on Wednesday morning.
