"This decision strikes at the heart of democracy. Elected politicians should only be able to be removed by the voters or for breaking the law.

Three members of a body that no one has ever elected should not be allowed to overturn the votes of millions of Londoners."

Its obviously undemocratic! It bloody sucks! And pissed me off when I first heard about it earlier this week.

How can they simply remove an elected official without the people's consent? I think there should be laws saying that only the people can remove an elected official.

Yeh I think that this is a farce. I dont think what he did was even that bad, but aside from that he is an elected representitive.

the reasons for his suspension are pretty petty. Granted, its a bit inappropriate but hardly cause to suspend him for a month. It's like if I had a black boss and I was made to work really hard so I referred to him as a slave driver... it'd be inappropriate but it's not that big of a deal.

I agree. I don't see what he said as a reason to suspend him.

Yes, especially since he didn't mean it to offend personally. I mean, he didn't even know the guy was Jewish when he made that comment!

So what if he had meant to offend? You shouldnt be able to just do away with an elected official like that

It is a pathetic and undemocratic decision.

But that is Britain for you.
