I'm not that mad about Mr. Moore, but he's pretty cool.

I don't agree precisely with Moore's politics. But I really enjoy his style of journalism. His wit and his working class demeanour. The letter is very good and amusing.

Michael Moore isn't that great, but he is all the US has really in reference to left-wing journalism.

That was hilarious. All of them were, the ones I remember funniest were...3 and 4.

Micheal Moore makes some excellent points, but I find he is often "witty" to the point of annoyance. Like in Bowling For Columbine when he followed Charlton Heston and bothered him; that destroyed a lot of his message in that movie I think.
Michael Moore is the man!

I agree, Ze, I think Moore is the man. In this letter there were some things I disagreed with, like the part about the Pope and the Dixie Chicks. I mean the catholic church have constantly proven themselves to be corrupt and out for their own interests, and while the Dixie Chicks have a right to free speach one cant base a decision not to go to war on what a country and western band says. Of course this might have been satirical, making fun of Bush for being an ultra-religious redneck. I LOVE how he calls him GOVERNOR Bush, based on the fact that he wasnt democratically elected. I bet if Bush reads the letter he wont even GET this, he'll think Moore serioulsy thinks he's still the governor, and will probably also fail to detect Moore's sarcasm.

It's not like hes actually going to even hear of this letter. Anyways, congrats to Micahel Moore, Bowling for Columbine was a great movie.

I just read Stupid White Men...it was great. I think his speech at the Oscars was brilliant, as well. A good guy, no doubt.

I like Michael Moore a lot. I think that it’s fabulous that American filmmakers are standing up to the ultra rightist movement that currently has power in America.

He made Heston look like a doddery, old, racist fool. Which he definitely seems to be. The only problem I had was that some people felt sorry for Heston - I think if you felt sorry for him you must have fallen asleep during the film.
I don't really think it was too much (the way he bothered him). I thought it was great - Heston wouldn't even look at the picture. Also the way Moore left the picture there - so forlorn and sad - I felt like crying (thankfully my macho resolve held strong, and I was convieniently able to cite sinus problem as a cause for the tears welling up in my eyes).

I'm confused here. Am I the only one that thinks Che would think Moore's a pussy? What happend to revolution from the barrel of the AK? I can't even picture Moore running up and down mountains with a rifle. Hell, it looks like he's never missed a meal in his life.

Che would think a lot of people are pussies. The thing is... If Moore's gonna keep on getting the word out... storming the Whitehouse with an automatic weapon really wouldn't help out that process.

On the Oscar site, there's a post-Ceremony question time area which includes Moore's comments to the press. He elaborates on his speech, etc., the Oscar site didn't cut short any of it, and it's brilliant. We need more like him.

You mean people that consume more food in one day than an entire Ethiopian village does in a week? My uncle's a farmer and that sure would make him happy.

There's more to life than running up and down mountains with rifles and criticising overwieght people.
Michael Moore does his best to make a very important message be heard. Think about that next time you use sexually discriminatory language.

This is crap.
For a start, Moore never claimed to be a revolutionary, he's just your average guy whos sick of all the bullshit.
Secondly, Che wasnt a dumb-arse, he didnt see violence as the solution to everything, he saw it as a last resort. I think if anything, he would have respected Moore for fighting injustice, rather than condemning him for doing it in a non-violent way or for not being a communist. There's a lot more to bravery than the willingness to kill people, Gandhi was one of the bravest and greatest revolutionaries in history and he never so much as fired a weapon.
Oh, yeah:
"Where a government has come into power through some form of popular vote, fraudulent or not, and maintains at least an appearance of constitutional legality, the guerrilla outbreak cannot be promoted, since the possibilities of peaceful struggle have not yet been exhausted". - Ernesto Che Guevara.
There, straight from the horses mouthe. So no, he wouldnt think Moore was a pussy at all, in fact if anything he'd probably consider Moore an idiot if he did try to start an armed revolution to overthrow the US government.
And, if you really consider the ability to weild guns such an important thing (and I really do fail to understand why it is), Moore actualy won several marksmanship awards and trophies when he was a teenager and is a card-carrying NRA member. I fail to see how thats relevent, but if the ability to kill people is important, Moore's probably your man. He just has more intelligent ways of fighting injustice.
