I think I've made it pretty clear what I think should be done...but, of course, others might think up much better stuff than I ever did or will.

Where do you state this? All I recall reading is that you think all of us should take different courses of actions than " Traditional Political work".

All we hear from all the Leninist parties these days is "run for office" and "do trade union stuff"...what the social democrats were doing back in 1908!

Then what do you suggest?

You claim to have an idea, do tell.

Do you want to keep trying to do what she (Rosa Luxemburg) proposed or are you willing to look for alternatives?

Looking for alternatives, too!

What I'm wondering is that since it took awhile for the artisian and merchant classes to rule the state, and they got to that point by developing the means of production to their advantage so that they could no longer be under the thumb of the Monarchs, will it be necessary for the means of production to change in order for the prolitariat to take power?

We don't really have much influence on designing new means of production, we don't call the shots for a new and improved model of a machine.

Does this mean we have to wait for the total monopolization of capital?

So pretty much your saying as of now we need little pockets of dissent to keep the flame burning, but its ultimately "If you make it, they will come"--however stay out of bourgoeis legalism. Talk to your fellow workers like everyone else.

But here are some things I would consider...

1. Don't preach! That is, don't be the local communist version of Jehovah's Witnesses or the Mormons...bringing up communism and revolution "out of the blue" in every conversation.

2. Feel people out about their outlook on things; ask questions and listen to the responses carefully to see if there is an "opening".

3. If they're on line, give them some "left" but not communist news sources...something to get their feet wet...and then see how they respond to that. If they're not on line, you may have to invest in some printed matter that will serve the same purpose.

I'll remember that.

Also, you're saying its pointless for some old Leninist to try to become some trade union exec., because they'll get strangled in bourgoeis legalism.
However if a Communist Organization(s) attracted a fairly decent sized , or majority of a union, from there they would probably plan strikes.
