am i the only person in britain who cant bloody stand fall out boy? first of all their music's too twee, and secondly, i like the simpsons (even though its on sky). why would you name your band after a ficticious sidekick, within a fictitious show, within another fictitious show? and thirdly, their video's crap.

I have all three of their albums (although I've only listened to Under The Cork Tree properly, I've had that the longest) and their music has none of the single-track sameiness of other bands. Live, they are great, really engaging the crowd and having a class time. So screw you guys, I think they're great :D

And as for "an offence to Matt Groening", I only just realised that when watching the Simpsons on Sky about fifteen minutes ago, lol.

And as for all the "they are emo" stuff, wah? I've listened to some emo (mainly My Chemical Romance, now they're just funny) and FOB don't sound emo to me. If I had to put a word to their stuff, I'd probably call it mainstream punk with a hint of hardcore. And I haven't heard them sing anything about cutting themselves or hatiing their fathers, so that puts them off the emo list for me :P

So I borrowed my sisters jeans "which look great on me by the way" but I stained them its so "tragic" My suburban parent financed life is so horrible its so "tragic" and I'm sooo upset that i cannot do that hair flippy thing that the guy from "insert emo band here" does ive tried but i am just a "failure" And I stole my sisters mascara and was grounded for two weeks.

Then again I only listen to East Coast Hip Hop lately like Sabac and Immortal Technique so not really a good judge on music like fallout boy.

I have no problem with real emo's, ie the ones who listen to Coheed and Cambria, From First To Last ect ect ect. But really do feel the need to stab the goths and posers who listen to MCR, FOB, SP, GC, TU and shit like that.

1) Punk is a non-materialist movement- so no songs lamenting about how your daddy wont buy you what you want

2) Punk is an Anti-conformist movement - so no dressing up like 'that guy from the band' just to be cool.

3) Pop is not punk. if it is in the top 50 then 99% of the time it is shit.

4) Dressing like a punk does not automatically make you one. see no.2, just cause you wear chucks and badges does not make you hardcore.

5) Your shitty music and attudes are giving a bad name to the whole alt. music scene. Where i live now if you have longer then shoulder length hair then you are an "emo" and every thinks you slit your wrists. Even if you are clearly wearing a Throwdown t.
