Feb. 20 - Venezuelan President Hugo Chavez reacted flamboyantly to recent criticism from the United States.
The comments to U.S. Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice come after she described Venezuela as a menace to regional democracy in the midst of tense diplomatic relations between the two countries.
"Don't mess with me Condoleezza. Don't mess with me, girl," Chavez said during his weekly Sunday broadcast, sarcastically offering her a kiss.
Benet Allen reports
SOUNDBITE: Hugo Chavez, Venezuelan President, Saying (English):
"I'm studying English because I want to see the Condoleezza. I want to see you Condoleezza because you know she don't speak Spanish, then I must speak English with her."

Yeah I been watching him with great interest for quite a while now.
He seems the genuine thing but not sure its a good idea to mock Condoleezza. Rumours she may be running for White House at next election and she has a nasty stance on Chavez and Castro.

I only understand about half of Chavez's speeches, my spanish being amatuer. I too enjoy hearing what he has to say. He doesn't kiss USA ass like the rest of the world leaders. His speeches seem very open forum like the citizens all gathered in the town hall to discuss politics. A more open democracy versus electing representatives of one of two hierarchal political parties in the USA.

Hes ex military and started the bolivarian revolution, he lead a couple revolts against the fascists that killed like 3000 of their own people in caracas. When he got out of jail he was elected president and made venezuela a social democracy. and he sticks it to the US a lot about iraq and haiti and the rest of their imperialist shit. also hes fighting the free market a lot which is cool because thats the reason theres so much poverty in latin america.

Even I couldn't find it again. I think it was just on the Reuters within the only day. There were many news agencies that quoted the full text of it from the Reuters but not the video.

Its still a long ways, but yeah, I agree wit ya
There is no doubt that, that Rice character is planning or has a covert operation to overthrow Chavez, underway
He's gotta be careful, we don't wanna see another Salvador Allende or Jacobo Arbenz Guzman situation

Also, why the fuck is that guy still living in a palace?
I might be oversimplifying things, but; never trust a dude in a palace, never.
