A dream i would have is a gran socialist nation where i see no people suffering from malnutrition and poverty (which is the effect of capitalism).

But in this dream i always wonder which is better democracy or dictatorship and if i had to pick i would pick democracy because this is the peoples government and i believe the people should vote for everything not like the US where you can only vote for representatives, but something where people would vote to veto a law or something like that.

The only thing i see bad in a democratic government is corruption as for dictatorship the only good thing i see is that there would be less corruption.

So whats better??????????

well....In our current society i would choose a Dictatorship of the prolatariat, which isn't a one man dictatorship but a class dictatorship for the workers. The workers need this sort of power to get them back where they should be ie. making choices cooperatively instead of being demanded by an business owner.

Well going by what you said, that means since the majority of people in the US voted for George Bush then it is ok? so he can go on exploiting workers in the US and also in third world countries, you think that is ok? well u must since the 'people' voted it. Paying them less and working them harder just to meet demand, doesnt sounds like the majority would really like that. It is through a biased media that these people like Bush and Blair and Arrayo get away with these things and manipulate the voter into something there not.

This is what I don't understand about communism. Wouldn't a council of dictators or any type of government give a class structure to the society??

Bpyke, what you quoted of mine was a Socialist concept not communist.

in Communism there is no state or authority. in Socialism the workers lead.

Corruption is limited in a democracy because the leaders have to get reelected if they want to stay in power, and people don't like corruption. However in a dictator ship, the ruling body does not have as much fear for the repercussions of its actions, and thus, is more likely to have corruption rampant in its halls.
People are more likely to comply as well, if the leader elected, by them, with someone they may not have supported in the beginning, and having no say in his or her staying in power, the people are more likely to rebel and overthrow the government.

Man is conscious and responsible for his own freedom. The inevitable struggle of this consciousness towards freedom can only result in a democratic, anarchist, society. The dictatorship of man over man is on the brink of extinction as men are now opposed to such a notion.

but bush is a freakin capitalist and they are corrupted, but how about us i doubt our leader we voted would be like him.

Anyways how about if we were to try seperation of powers where no one gets to much power or if every leader we voted for has the same amount of power

wouldn't that make it a republic? Anyway, if the leaders that are in power make and unpopular decision in a dictator ship, it will have a very limited effect on their power, their would be little repercussion. You need a democracy, and a total one, not just one group of people in charge of the rest, the workers cannot rule the elites, this would spread discontent among the elites, and lead to rebelion. All members of the governd must have power in the goverment.

Power needs to be separated, a system of checks and balances must be maintained, others wise members of the government will do whatever they want with little fear of repercussions, their needs to be a balance of power, with each side giving in to the others will.

You're right but its just so difficult this is one thing that seperates us leftist, maybe we should all unite and vote on it: democracy or dictatorship

if we were voting on it, that would make it a democracy right? i assume a dictator ship would just take power, without a popular vote.

Revulero

you are right again i guess you even need democracy in any situation even in proletarian dictatorship

i guess a dictator ship of more than one person in control is technicly impossible. But it could work, just mabey not as well??? i guess...

what is cryogenics?????????

hamperleft
15th February 2006, 02:56
oh, it's that thing, where they freeze you, apperantly that prevents your bodey and brain cells from decaying, so when they find a cure for let's say, something like cancer, and a cancer patiant has been cryogenicly frozen, he can be reawakend and cured. It's uhhhh, kinda experimental, it sort of works on bugs, sorta.....
