My dog has halitosis, is there any DIY way I can get rid of da'funk?

He has rotten teeth, all his life I've given him dentabones, and tried to brush his teeth but nothing works!

Is there like a DIY doggie-dentist thing to do?

Chicken wings are meant to be good, cover them with mint, but only give them raw, cooked bones splinter and hurt your dog.

Perhaps get him a new type of healthy, balanced dog food, which should help if the halitosis is due to prolonged digestion in the stomach. Dry dog food is way better, and maybe add a little garlic and aloe vera to the food to help with the digestion and repair gaps in the mucus lining in the stomach, which usually have alot of odorous bacteria.

Make sure he has different types of hard chews, either edible ones (like pigs' ears) or simply toys. These scrape the teeth and act like a toothbrush.

Most importantly, check his mouth regularly. If he has swelled gums, lots of tartar built up on the teeth, ulcers, absesses or any other abnormalities, take him to a vet. If he drools alot, is pretty depressed or has trouble eating (or refuses hard toys) then he could have a gum disease, which is why his teeth appear rotten and that needs treating by a vet.
Having bad teeth doesn't seem such a terrible thing at first, but if he has gum disease (and if his gums bleed) then this can result in much worse problems, as infections spread around the body, often resulting in kidney disease and immense pain, which will eventually stop him eating, and he'll probably have to be put down.
