View Full Version : Ultimate Band

I'd have

Matt Heafy (Trivium): Vocals/ Additional guitar
Jimi Hendrix: Lead Guitar
Tom Morello (RATM): Rhythm Guitar
Flea (RHCP): Bass
Joey Jordinson (Slipknot): Drums

Sorta Metal-Heavy but meh, whatcha gonna do.

Anyway, uh, just stick down what you think would make a really cool band. Doesn't matter if the members are alive or dead (or in shitty nu-metal bands :P .)

My Excuse - I was really bored

You stole Hendrix, Flea and Tom from me.

Think I'll create the ultimate grunge band!!!!
Eddie Vedder (Pearl Jam)- Vocals
Kurt Cobain (well yeah)- Rythem Guitar/Vocals
Jerry Cantrell (Alice In Chains)- Lead Guitar/Vocals
Jeff Ament (Pearl Jam)- Bass, There don't seen to be any stand out bass players I can think of, but I really like the Rearveiwmirror bass line.
I like too many grunge drummers so I'll make a possible list:
Dave Grohl (Nirvana)
Mat Camron (Soundgarden)
Sean Kinney (Alice In Chains)
and well.........ME!!!!! :D

I'ed also have Chris Cornell (Soundgarden) and Layne Staley (Alice In Chains) feature on vocals now and then.

I gotta go with a classic rock line up:
Drums- John Bonom(Led Zeppelin)
Lead guitar- Eddy Van Halen
Bass- Victor Wuton
Key board- Jim Morrison(the Doors)
Vocals- Geddi Lee(Rush)

I know it's cliche but it got that way for a reason these guys rock

Victor Wooten is awesome indeed
as are John Bonham, Eddie Van Halen, and Geddy Lee.
note: not that I like Van Halen or Rush

Somewhere in the background of my perfect band, almost unnoticed at the side of the stage would be an aging country rock musician called Herb Petersen who has the purest voice, and plays the most incredible rhythm guitar of anyone I ever saw

(Just thought I I'd say something out of synch with the consensus )

ok, well first things first, redchrisfalling, Key board- Jim Morrison(the Doors), thats not possible because it was Ray Manzerek who played keyboards with the Doors, and Jim only sang

but anyways, the all-star band....

Victor Wooten-bass(bela fleck and the flecktones/solo)
Les Claypool-bass(primus/oysterhead)
Oteil Burbridge-bass(allman brothers band/oteil and the peacemakers)
Duane Allman- slide guitar(allman brothers band/ solo)
Derek Trucks- slide guitar(allman brothers/derek trucks bands)
Zakk Wylde- Lead guitar(Black Label Society/Ozzy Osbourne)
Eric Clapton- lead guitar(cream/solo)
Jerry Garcia- Lead guitar(grateful dead)
George Harrison- Lead guitar(beatles/solo)
Greg Allman- Hammond b3 organ/vocals(allman brothers band/solo)
Herbie Hancock- Keyboards/piano(solo)
Neil Pert- Drums(rush)
John Bonham- Drums(led zeppelin)
Jaimoe- Drums(allman brothers band)
Jim Morrison- Vocals(the doors)
