I've recently been doing some brief reading on the CPGB in the thirties and its (along with other lefties) response to Mosley and his thugs, which was in my opinion very interesting and successful! :)

So really I'd like to know if anyone can recommend a good book on the history of British anti-fascism from 1920 to the present day or maybe just some good pieces on the internet.

Cheers in advance. :)

actually thats a lie. Well sort of.
What was the name of the book you read?

I may have a similar one back in scotland, i think it is called something like "under the red flag". I'll send it your way if you want.

Not books, just pieces on the internet about the "Battle of Cable Street" etc.

I'll keep an "eye out" for that.

Cheers! :)

I know the Kate Sharply Library has a few pamphlets on the matter...not a whole lot about the madcap adventures of nutty Tankies though I'd wager.
