what would happen to the royal family during/after the revolution?
i mean, i know she would be forced to abdicate, but then what, would the royal family and all the lords, earls, dukes etc be forced to go back to civilian life, or would they be imprisoned or http://69.93.183.37/2326/53/emo/suicide.gif

Why do people think questions they ask are stupid. No question is stupid, since they all inquire information.
About the royal family, they will probably be killed, since i doubt any of them will be willing to co-operate with the revolution or give in. they will probably fight till the last minute and then they will, well, be killed.

they would send guards to fight, but i can't see prince charles standing up to anyone, he'd shit himself
also, is this illigal? i know it's illegal to burn the queens face on money, so i'm pretty sure it's illegal to discuss killing her :P just hope no-one here is a pig

Well, they won't fight, but they will send guards.. but they will probably get killed or imprisoned at the end. if they have the guts they will fight till they die, and if they dont they will surrender.

I would be more worried about what to do with them if they had any function - or were *gasp* in charge.
But they aren't. What I would do is tell the queen she has to sign a bill abolishing the monarchy and if she refuses, arrest the lot of them along with particularly right-wing monarchist wackos and leave them to rot.

The idea of a stupid question is an oxymoron. If you're learning, then you're not ignorant.
The Queen of England and the royal family (sorry Brits; love the country, but I'm a Yank, don't know much about you guys) would most likely be killed to make a point.

I used to be a great patriot, but it dawned on me that the country I thought was great was not the country of now, but the country of the history that I've studied so much. The UK of now is filled with bigots, chavs and ignorant upper-classes. It's pretty hard to be proud in something like that, eh?
I don't think killing people to prove a point is what the revolution is about. I would not like to see anyone killed unnceccessarily, and I really don't think it'd be necessary to kill the Royal Family. Capture them by all means, they are still a figurehead for the UK (although not what they once were - that It's a Royal Knockout, oh dear), but I don't see why they should die.

Amen to that part :P . I'm an American, but sheesh, same thing over in this hell-hole.

This part I disagree with. After a revolution, the worst thing to do is to leave a powerful enemy alive. I believe it was the scottish Queen Mary who tried to kill her own sister to regain the throne, no? I'm not that good with my English history, but the point is that people are willing to kill millions, even if it includes their own blood, to gain that kind of power. We can't leave any person alive who has the ties, the allies, etc. to overthrow a revolutionary society. This is to speak nothing of the evils that they have committed, warranting death in any case. Think of if any normal comrade had done what the royal family have to subjugate the proletariat and empoverish those in the 3rd world -- he would be killed before sundown. They are no exception.

just throwing away money is technically illegal (don't know why you'd want to.. maybe the odd 1p or 2p) because it's disregarding of the queens face...
it's also illegal to take stones/sand from a beach or to kill a swan because they belong to the queen...
It was strange to see Cameron saying today that the Queen should be stripped of her powers... I don't want a conservative supporting my arguements, though admittedly I'd go a lot further than stripping the queen of her power... I preferred it when Howard was leader of the tory's and they were super right wing so they were easier to attack... none of this moving towards centrism bullshit...

I'd much rather make them work, or make them live on council estates like everoyne else dependant on the state

I don't think that killing them is neccessary. If their property, power and influence will be taken away, they will not be really dangerous to the the revolution, since I don't think they would be able to do anything aginst it.

I don't believe in telling others what to do. I want to smash the system of order-givers and order-takers. If a poor person feels that he or she has been harmed by some rich people, and feels that he or she must take strong action to prevent those rich people from doing further harm, who am I to interfere?

But if the same rich people beleive the poor person has harmed them or their families, they will take action against the poor person to ensure this does not happen again. Where would you stand then? You cant just let people take justice in their own hands when they do not have an objective view of the situation. And subjectively i think the royal family should not be accused of the sins of their ancestors. They should however be accused of their own crimes. Then they should be tried fairly, found guiltsy and be made to scratch off all their effigies from every whhere around the World (the Uk and the ex-colonies). With their teeth. On their hands and knees. Or make them do a decent days work. Basically like capital punishment for them,

You're basically advocating a system of slavery or at the very least concentration-camp like confinement, no? All this would do is create another class of people that would want to rebel and overthrow the system. Unacceptable in a classless, stateless society.
