There are enough resources in the world for us all, even if you factor in overpopulation, yet they are mismanaged because of greed, misunderstanding and incompetence

Do we blame the "bourgeoisie" , or simply a lack of evolution amongst the species? After all, evolution is what a global shift to socialism/anarchism requires

Unfortunately evolution isn't an "instant" event, instead we can only influence ourselves most of the time, not other people.

I welcome a shift away from materialism, but aren't the battle lines too ambiguous for us to adequately declare "class war" ?

I hear you. You have to ask yourself why did Neruda, one of the greatest poets in the Spanish language become general secretary of the communist party.
Really because the tradition of Marxism is opposed to crude materialism. It is quite an irony, that communists are called idealists yet they oppose philosophical idealism. Marx's materialism was philosophical materialism.
The dispute in philosophy was about the nature of being.
Idealists said ''thought determined being primarily''
Materialist said''being determined thought primarily''

This is not a question of the value of life or human spirituality as such but one of comprehending the way things come into being.

Marxists are not classist in that they hold nothing personal against people of a different class status, indeed many rich and very rich people have joined us.

The problem is one of class power which is both economic and spiritual power. Both powers act against the interest of the majority, and in human terms against the spiritual interests of the bourgeiosie.

Our struggle is both evolutionary and revolutionary.
We at one point will evolve into the majority as basically
the truth of societal relations is on our side but as soon as we become the majority, the revolution begins.
