System designed from the begining for class managment not education. Not a big surprise but an interesting read.

Shit pommes frites... This is the kind of stuff that makes one afraid of the dark.

This is proof for something I've always known as obvious. I don't think this applies only to the US, but all capitalist countries. Everyone of us should read that book, I'll order it right away myself.

The thought of the working class systematically being "molded" into mindless slaves is frightening and disgusting. But it is the truth, and exposes the myth of capitalist society rewarding those who "deserve it" as bullshit.

I just started going back to high school after a yearlong expultion, and the difference between high school and college is very noticiable now. It's almost physically opressive. The schools in my area are pushing for technical school for a good section of the students, at freshman year too. This is pretty much putting them in thier social class at age 14. Most of them by then have had thier individuality sucked out of them by then anyhow.

The wealthy show what true cowards they are. They have to have every system in thier favor. Free market capitalism is a great big crock of shit. Education begins with the parent, those of us with children or will have them in the future need to remember this.

We should start socialist schools, teaching all the little chiddlers to think for themselves. If the Catholics can do it why can't we...oh right, fucking money. <_<

britains just as bad. they teach us to read so we can go and read the sun. theyre only too happy to teach you about the evils of stalin, but not of thatcher. not so long ago, a report discovered that many school children cannot read at a year 6 (10-11) level when they leave primary school.
did anyone know that "education" of the poor started with catholic ( ) and c of e ( ) schools. as soon as socialists suggested educating the proletariat, capitalists saw this as an opportunity, something evident in the sun
