Doesn&#39;t make any sense to call out a series of names without explaining their meaning. It&#39;s one of the worst songs ever. Can&#39;t believe it made it to #1.

It&#39;s the only Billy Joel song I like. I was six when it came out and have nice memories watching the video on MTV with my dad.

In the video there&#39;s a calender which changes according to the decade. The names are of things/people that were big in each decade starting in the 40s I think.

Meh I like it. It has a sense of history. Here&#39;s a tip though - don&#39;t ever try it in karaoke <_<

GAh, in 8th grade we had to look up the meaning of every fuckin part of that song, it took forfuckinever. as a class we had to have each part and my teacher ended up givin me all the parts that had to do with communists and anti communists (this was a under a year before i had any political convictions) leanred somestuff, but the entire time she had the song playin in the backround, i wanted to take the stereo to a driving range. I remember this was on the list of VH1&#39;s worst songs, and it really pissed me off. It may not be that great of a song, but its still a decent tune.
