I live in Arkansas, about two hours away in Harrison.

It sucks!!!

Fayetteville has at least more culture, whereas where I live is mostly strip malls, car dealerships, a church per 15 people.

Arkansas has a Maoist inspired hippie commune up in the Ozarks that has been going since 1973. It was featured in a recent issue of national geographic.
Apparently they welcome visitors, the name of it is "east wind".

Uhh Harrison is the national headquarters of the KKK. i feel badly for you. yes arkansas is hard to start. fortunately my town is more left leaning than many others in the state, but still not where it needs to be.

I'd take a KKK member over a Nazi anyday. Though both need to be put in a steel submarine riddled with holes.

Yeah, except the KKK started specifically during Reconstruction after the American Civil War and were the driving force behind getting Democrats elected to ease off the reforms. They helped establish Black Codes, Jim Crow laws, etc etc... reinstituted slavery in the form of the crop lien system and sharecropping.

Anyway, welcome comrade, from Maine. At least I'm in a nice ol' blue state, where people are a bit more open-minded. Enjoy your stay!
