I have a quick question regarding capitalists...

Stores like "Ma & Pa" shops, are the owners considered Capitalists?
Are people who run their own business and have no employees considered Capitalists?
I know people who have their own small business (like auto repair). They "own the means of production," but they are not exploiting any workers.

If you own the means of production, but you aren't exploiting workers.... are you a Capitalist?

They are considered petty-bourgeois. "Petit-Bourgeoisie, lit., “little city-folk” – the small business people, sometimes extended to include the professional middle-class and better-off farmers."

I might be wrong, but I think capitalists are those that attempt to accumulate capital (which all business-owners do). This does not make them bourgeois, though.

Those who employ wage labour.
