Men (and women) appear to have the perception that everything in life has finality, with the exception of our own life. Most of us don’t comprehend our own mortality, and as a result create something, like a psychological barrier in order to prevent it from ever happening. We live in a Hedonistic world, where pleasure is our escape from “finality,” thus we create antidotes such as viagra, and other drugs in order to stop our “cycle” form happening. As a species we face the paradox of crashing against ourselves in a life long battle between mortal and immortal, much like the Greeks and their Divine gods

We live in a Hedonistic world

Parts of the world might be. But I sure as hell don't live in a hedonistic world.

Anywhere that Judeo-Christian, Islamic, Buddhist, or Hindu morality is held by the majority, its not hedonistic.

And I can't find many places that don't have that.

I don't know what "men and women" you've been taking to, but most psychologically sound adults I've met are well aware of their own mortality.

They don't particularly like to contemplate it, but that's because it's an unpleasant topic.

I don't like to think about my dog dying either, but that doesn't mean I think that she's immortal!

Pleasure isn't an "escape" from anything, it's an end in and of itself.

Pleasure is, by definition, pleasurable. We seek it because we enjoy it and nothing more.

Trying to graft esoteric "morality" about the "evils" of "hedonism" and the "glory" of austerity is philisophical self-immolation. There is nothing "deep" about pleasure, it's purely biological.

Get over it.

thus we create antidotes such as viagra, and other drugs in order to stop our “cycle” form happening.

No, we create drugs such as viagra to get erections.

We also create drugs such as diazepam to reduce anxiety, and drugs such as acetominophen to reduce pain.

What the fuck is wrong with that?

Oh, I disagree; religious rulers love thier pleasure and luxury, especially at the expense of others. That's called hyporacy ;)

And I can't find many places that don't have that.

Most people cannot live that way for long but that doesn't mean they don't try.

Yes, but everywhere I've been, the majority is by far not religious leaders, but followers. Who oddly enough, pay for their leaders sins every Sunday.
