I'll begin:

Since July 25, more than 3,000 people from ten Caribbean countries have had eye operations in Cuba funded by oil-rich Venezuela. Other patients from Central and South America bring the total to 100,000 free eye operations this year.

During the UN's general assembly in 2000, Fidel Castro offered the United Nations 6,000 doctors for service in the third world.

Good to see. Don't forget the octors that Cuba offered to the Katrina disaster and those working in Venezuelan clinics.

The Scotsman a reacitonary shithole of a paper, weird to see that reported there.

Cuba provided troops and military advisers to the remnant Portuguese colonies in Africa as they were shaking off the chains of colonialism. They also did some fighting in Namibia and Angola against the forces of South African apartheid.
Truly in the spirit of Internationalism!
